I thought I was on a bit of a roller coaster the last time I posted! I did warn you right up front that I have a crazy life, and that is typically what reality is, many different shades of many different colors.
So, the family went to the beach for a reunion in April, that was great! However, missing my stepmom's funeral while there really hit me hard. Harder than I thought it would. Funny how some family situations affect you more than you anticipate, and others are not as impactful as you would have expected.
We moved to a bigger house immediately after returning from vacation. By immediately I mean, we dropped of the stuff we brought on vacation at the new house before we went back to the old house on a Sat, and the moving truck came on Tuesday. I love the new house, but it is going to be an experience getting used to less kitchen space. I don't mind having a small kitchen, but I have accumulated so many gadgets and appliances that I can't live without, but can't fit in the kitchen anymore that the creativity for storage is going to get maxed out! I can always go sit on the deck and look at the trees and listen to the birds and neighborhood kids playing while I destress during the process. :-D
I'm thinking about winding down, when I get the brainstorm to head up North to attend my sister's 50th wedding anniversary party. Fun time, but another whirlwind trip. This last weekend was the annual state convention for the Knights of Columbus so we have only been at home for one weekend since we moved in. Good grief!
The good news is, I have a whole bedroom for my office space, so I can sort out my Miche Bags and take inventory and sell off some old stuff. I can also get a better handle on my yarn, if possible. I started playing with making myself some socks from the toe up. Should be a fun experience and I can do some knitting in the car without getting sick. Good thing, as I seem to be spending a lot of time in the car lately.
